Located at 4,300 m, the ruins of this ancient Inca complex offer a stunning view of the Apurimac valley. Built on a rocky plateau surrounded by two natural peaks, the two “horns”, or “waqra” in Quechua, this spectacular site is reached by an irregular staircase that crosses a series of terraces. It seems the Incas used this place to observe the night sky and study the constellations.
