The Inca Trail trek follows a path considered sacred and legendary. According to historians and archaeologists, it was reserved for the governing caste, who walked it on pilgrimages to Machu Picchu, the sacred city of the Incas. Along the way you will be amazed by the beauty and diversity of the landscapes, colorful and semi-tropical. You will discover the sites of Chachabamba and Wiñaywayna, considered places of worship and purification, and then reach the Sun Gate, from where you will have a magnificent view of Machu Picchu, perched at 2,400 m, and the mountains that surround it.
2 days / 1 night option: recommended for those who love hiking and want to walk an emblematic historic trail with little time. The visit of Machu Picchu is included.
4 days / 3 nights option: the trek in its entirety, 42 km, considered one of the most beautiful treks in the world. You camp for the 4 days, sleeping in tents, an invitation to follow in the footsteps of a majestic civilization. This option is available on request.
Transfer from your hotel to Ollantaytambo station and take the train to Km 107, where the trek begins. Walk to the sites of Chachabamba and Wiñaywayna, places of worship and purification, then reach the Sun Gate for the first view of Machu Picchu. Continue down to Aguas Calientes.
