A COLORFUL MOUNTAIN AT THE FOOT OF AUSANGATE

Leave early from Cusco by private transport with a French-speaking guide to reach a geological wonder located at the foot of Ausangate, the highest mountain in the Cusco region.

High in altitude and in color, this trek brings you to the magnificent colorful mountain of Palcoyo, which rises to 4,950 m. On the way you will enjoy a splendid view of Ausangate and the beautiful pastures of llamas and alpacas. After a picnic lunch you walk back down to your transport and return to Cusco (or another site on request).

TOUR OUTLINE

STEP 1 - EARLY DEPARTURE FROM CUSCO +

Departure at 5:00 am from Cusco by private transport with your French-speaking guide. The trip takes about 7 hours round trip.

· Elevation: 3,400 m

STEP 2 - HIKE TO PALCOYO +

Hike to the colorful mountain of Palcoyo, which rises to 4,950 m, with a splendid view of Ausangate and the pastures of llamas and alpacas. The hike takes about 2h30 round trip.

· Elevation: 4,700 – 4,950 m

STEP 3 - PICNIC LUNCH +

Enjoy a picnic lunch (or lunch at a restaurant) in the surroundings.

STEP 4 - RETURN TO CUSCO +

Walk down to your transport and return to Cusco, or to another site on request.
